Watson advances ticket writing by providing federal, state and local inquiries with warrant and stolen vehicle information. With auto-completion of driver and vehicle data, Watson makes ticket writing effortless!
Ticket-writing Process
With the driver’s license and vehicle tag entered, the client securely contacts a department server and queries local, state and federal databases for driver, vehicle and owner details. The query includes a cross-referenced search to retrieve Scoff-law violations and outstanding warrants for both the driver and owner. Within seconds, Watson returns the results and automatically populates the ticket with driver and vehicle details. The officer then provides a location or selects one from "Favorites".

Finally, the officer assigns the violation(s) and selects a court date from a list of choices to complete the ticket. The officer may choose to record voice notes (stored locally) or enter descriptive notes to serve as a reminder when defending the ticket in court.

After validating the ticket, Watson prints the citation via a Bluetooth-enabled printer. The driver’s signature can then be captured digitally.
Once signed, the ticket is transferred securely to the department server for immediate availability. It is also stored securely on the device for easy retrieval for court appearances.
The entire process takes only one minute per ticket (see time-line below).

Return on Investment

The return on Watson Ticketing quickly outweighs the investment by:

  • Significantly increasing ticket revenue through the elimination of illegible and incomplete tickets.
  • Eliminating clerical entry.
  • Reducing administrative costs by implementing a paperless reporting system.
  • Providing officers with local, state and national inquires without requiring dispatch.
Web-based Reporting

Watson Ticketing’s browser-based reporting tool offers query ability to officers, administrators, court clerks and judicial personnel. Results from queries are displayed in grids that feature sorting, paging and drill-down capabilities. Full ticket detail, including the digitally-captured signature, can be viewed for any ticket.

Easily generated reports can be specific to an officer, precinct, district, shift, driver, vehicle, court date or violation. With Watson’s wireless submission capability, tickets are available for import and inquiry immediately after completion.
